Power line inspections
Using LiDAR, we obtain 100% of the information related to the corridor. It is possible to study and optimize crossings, angles, tower elevation, vegetation to be cleared, accesses, etc.
Once we have the LiDAR point cloud, this is then we filtered, edited and categorized in different subdivisions, separating vegetation, terrain, buildings, etc. These subclasses enable the handling of data with specific applications, such as plsCADD for power lines. The model accuracy could achieve up to 5 cm, but a good field control is required.
After processing all the data using AeAnomalies Report software (developed by Aerolaser), we generate a report that indicates the type of anomaly found, which also georeferences the said anomaly on the map.
The final product includes a KML file, which displays the power line to be studied, as well as the vertical and / or oblique photos in the place they were taken during the flight. In addition, vectorized towers and cable catenaries are also stored several layers under different environmental conditions, where one layer shows the vectorized power line under normal environmental conditions, and the rest of them reflect different assumptions of wind and temperature.
Through the LiDAR point cloud, once the data is analyzed and processed, a topographic database is generated with the specific anomalies of each circuit. With our AeSystem system, photographs, videos in 4K or thermal are also recorded. All this acquired information updates the digital twin of the company's network, in order to obtain a fairly complete analysis of the state of the facilities to provide a stable and safe energy supply for customers.
