Last Sunday, April 24, 2022, the local newspaper La Provincia Diario de Las Palmas published a story titled "The opportunity that flies over the Islands". An article that speaks, on the one hand, of the possibility that the Canary Islands have of becoming a benchmark in the aeronautical and aerospace sector, taking advantage of the conditions that exist on the islands (good climate, varied orography, proximity to the sea and the existence of a research ecosystem). On the other hand, to promote this sector through the approval of a PERTE within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the central government, which could bring more companies to the sector and generate new jobs in the archipelago.

The article talks about Aerolaser as a Canarian company, which stands out within the sector, carrying out inspection of power lines using drones and helicopters, through its own technology. Among the interventions that are referenced in the publication, they include words from our CTO Tomás Herrera. In them, he briefly reviews our growth as a company since Aerolaser was founded in 2008 and the potential of the islands to develop and research in the aeronautical and aerospace sector.
